4:12 — Wouldn’t it be wrong not to mention joy?

When did I stop looking at everything
as if through the highest quality lens?

Why do I forget to zoom in? Zoom out?
Watch the light change and sigh?

Isn’t it wrong to lose the truth of reflection?
Reflex? Translucence? Panorama? Depth of perception?

Perhaps, it was the weather who convinced me
to go inside and shut the door? The social climate

who convinced me to draw the curtains? Maybe, it’s a sin
to keep looking at the world through my own failing vision?

Today’s poem is inspired by the #12 prompt at Word Light Show, and Twenty Questions, by Jim Moore.
